Four outcast teenage girls at a Catholic high school start practicing witchcraft, and the power goes to their heads. It's a horror film that also works as a drama about friendship.

How it was made

  • About 2,000 snakes were used in the climax at Sarah's house. Director Andrew Fleming said the maggots, rats and roaches were all real. The roaches were bred for the film.
  • The floating pencil was a practical effect. A metal rod ran through the pencil, and a prop man under the desk turned it by hand.
  • Sarah's home was a two-story Spanish mansion. Its interiors were built on a soundstage at Culver City Studios in Culver City, California.
