A family on vacation in Santa Cruz is attacked by doppelgangers who look just like them. Peele uses a classic home-invasion setup to ask who we are when we're not being watched.

How it was made

• Most of the film was shot in Los Angeles. The main house was in Pasadena.
• The crew tented the whole house so they could shoot night scenes during the day.
• About 90 percent of the film was shot on a 27mm or 32mm lens.
