A high school senior fakes sick and takes his best friend and girlfriend on a one-day tour of Chicago. It's a comedy that talks straight to camera. It's also a love letter to the city it was shot in.

How it was made

  • Shooting began in Chicago in September 1985. The production moved to Los Angeles in late October.
  • Close shots of the Ferrari used a real car brought onto a stage.
  • Every pane of glass was removed from the house to film the car crash scene.
