A rescue crew boards a ship that vanished years ago and returned from somewhere it shouldn't have. It's a haunted house film set in deep space.

How it was made

• The ship interiors filled most of seven soundstages at Pinewood Studios. The First Containment was a 50 foot tube that actually rotated.
• Biddle used gels to get an uncorrected fluorescent green. About 80 large 10K lamps outside the First Containment poured light in.
• The effects team built 26 miniatures, from a one foot Lewis and Clark to a 30 foot Event Horizon. Shots of the gravity drive gyroscope were filmed in camera on set.
